Machu Picchu - Cusco

Up at 4am to get on the 530 am bus to Machu Picchu...our tour starts at 6am for two hours. And quite a history has Machu Picchu..absolutely awe inpsiring and magnificent in its creation..and its huge...


We spent the morning walking around the complex, walking up to the guard house and waiting for the fog to lift so we can take our photos..about 20 minute later it did and we were greeted with an amazing view of the village. Unbelievable that it took 100 years for this village to be built and only 1000 people lived here...breathtaking

We climbed (more climbing) up to the Sun Gate 45 minutes to get a view of the entire village...it was quite a sight to see....


It was a great morning and, in the afternoon, we took a train back to Ollantaytambo, then a bus back to Cuszo for our last night.

We all got together for dinner at a pub (American food...wow), said our goodbyes and off to bed we go...
