Cusco Day 2

Our first complete day in Cuzco started with a 7 hour tour!....ouch..but it was good..we visited three ruins of which Cuzco is famous for: Tambomachay, Q´enqo and Sacsayhuaman (Sexy Woman)..all very nice ruins...then we visited the Museum of Santo Domingo.


After 7 hours, we were hungry..so off we went to try some Peruvian cuisine..yummy..and I had a latte!...Peruvian coffee is very strong and I have not had a lot of it but a latte I will have!

Then off to sightsee Cuzco, from plaza to plaza, we found St. Francis church..and more churches..as there are about 11 here..all very nice.


But unfortunately, our day ended with bad news..we would have to camp out tonight as students and truck drivers would be on strike at midnight and the roads would be closed so we would have to go tonight and camp out..so our 3 day/2 night trek is now 3 day/3 night trek...oh well..so off to pack we go so we can get going...I will catch up on our return in 3 days..wish us luck!
